Overlooked Americans

We
all recognize the names of famous American authors, political figures, social
activists, and entertainers. But there are many important lesser-known
Americans whose stories are important and should not be overlooked. This class,
conducted by Gary Midkiff, will present 16 mini-biographies of people you may
not know or, if you do recognize, may not be certain what they did. Their
stories will intrigue you and may well inspire you to do more research on your
own. Do you recognize (without using Google) the names Washington Roebling,
Margaret Sanger, William Knudsen and Willis Hawley? Meet them and 12 other
interesting people during these classes.
