ShawChicago presents....Village Wooing (A Romantic Comedy)

Since
1994, ShawChicago has performed readings of the works by George Bernard Shaw
and his contemporaries at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts in Chicago.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, they will
present a staged reading of Village Wooing. This is the story of a love affair that
begins on the high seas aboard the pleasure ship Empress of Patagonia between a
grouchy travel writer and a shop girl on holiday.  It reaches its climax in a village shop on
the Wiltshire Downs when the two happen to cross paths again.  A laugh-out-loud comedy, Shaw’s story
captures the true hilarity of relationships. In advance of this special
program, we encourage you to attend the presentation on George Bernard Shaw by
ShawChicago outreach coordinator on January 30. Please see page    for details. Registration is $12 member;
$15 non-member.
