Following lunch at the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club,Valerie van Heest will speak on the tragic shipwreck of the Lady Elgin in Lake Michigan—the worst disaster in Great Lakes history. A native of Wilmette, now residing in Michigan, Valerie is a noted diver and award-winning author.
