Take Two Children's Theatre Presents The Jungle Book

   Take Two Children’s Theatre, A Division of North Shore Dance and Drama, will present four performances of The Jungle book beginning Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m. with Saturday performances at
2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and a final performance on Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m.  Two casts will perform twice each. All
performances will take place at Glenview United Methodist Church at 727 Harlem Avenue, Glenview, IL, 60025. Tickets are available for advance purchase on tututix.com: https://web.tututix.com/tickets/. Adults are $11, children are $9 and group tickets may be purchased for $8 apiece for groups of 15 or more. Tickets may also be purchased ½ an hour in advance of each performance at the venue.

   Known as
the theatre company “for children, by children”, 57 Glenview actors and actresses will be featured in these performances. “This is one of my all-time favorite musicals because of the fun, upbeat, jazzy songs and dance numbers,” says Anne Neumann, choreographer and director for the show. 

   “It is truly a great show for audience members of all ages,” with famous songs


like “The Bare Necessities” and “I Wan’na Be Like You”.

   Alisha
Potter, one of the directors, and a former drama teacher with Glenview’s District 34 loves this classic Disney story because of “its great character roles for young actors and actresses.” She says, “It’s a fun, upbeat musical that gets everyone’s toes tapping!”

   The Jungle
Book will be the group’s 8th production in Glenview during the past

three years. “We love discovering new talent in the area and really enjoy

watching our more seasoned and returning actors grow through the seasons,” said Neumann.

   Take Two Children’s Theatre produces 3 plays every year and offers several weeks of fun-filled summer camps. This year’s summer camps are Annie

July 7-18, Middle School Musical July  21-August 1; The Tale of Sleeping Beauty August
