"The Dream is Now" Screening at the Glenview Public Library

Illinois
Organizing for Action and North Shore Organizing for Action are presenting the
documentary, “The Dream is Now”. Written by Academy Award-winning director Davis Guggenheim, the film
documents the hopes and dreams of children of immigrants who want to become
U.S. citizens.

The
30-minute documentary supports the principles of the DREAM Act, a bill that
would provide a path to legal status through college and military service for
young people who meet certain requirements and were brought to the Unites
States as children.

"The Dream
is Now” website states:  ”The film is
part of an effort of concerned citizens who believe we need to fix America’s
broken immigration system.  It brings
this pressing issue to America’s attention where we can all debate, discuss and
decide for ourselves what is right, fair, and best for our nation. “
