Congressman Robert Dold to speak at the Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise on Thursday, January 5, 2012

The program speaker for the Thursday morning, January 5, 2012 breakfast meeting of the Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise will be Congressman Robert Dold who represents the 10th Congressional district in the United States
House of Representatives.  Representative Dold holds a BA degree from Denison University, a law degree from Indiana
University, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.   Before entering Congress,
he was a small business owner.  In Congress, he is focused on bi-partisan solutions for creating jobs, protecting
the environment, homeland security and ending human rights injustices around the world. He serves on the Financial Services Committee which has jurisdiction
over all issues pertaining to the economy, the banking system, housing, insurance, and the securities and exchanges. In addition, Representative Dold is a member of numerous House Caucuses, Working Groups, Boards, and Councils. 

Founded in Chicago over 100 years ago, Rotary is a world-wide, non-denominational service organization. The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise is active in a wide variety of community and international service projects and is affiliated with Rotary International to advance numerous humanitarian projects, including the drive to eradicate polio worldwide.  The club meets weekly at the Glenview Park Golf Club Café at 800 Shermer Road in Glenview.  The meetings begin at 7 AM and feature weekly speakers. Members of the public interested in service are welcome to attend.
