Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise Chase the Bear Glenview Run

The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise invites everyone to participate in its 14th annual Glenview Run on Sunday, September 18, 2011.  This year’s “Chase the Bear Glenview Run” will feature a 1 mile Family Fun run-walk
plus CARA Certified, chip-timed 5K and 10K races.  The run course is  in the vicinity of the Hoffman School at 2000
Harrison Street in Glenview and runner parking is available in the Johns Parking lot.   Registration and check-in will
occur on Race Day from 7:00 to 7:45 AM.  The 1 mile Family Fun Walk-Run will start at 8:15AM and the 5K and 10K races will follow at 8:30AM.  Split times will be
given at every mile for the 5K and 10K races. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female runners in each division.  Chase the Bear 2011 tech shirts are available for all pre-registered runners as part of their registration fee.   There will be a Race emcee and refreshments will be available pre and post race.  This
year’s run will feature run and fitness related vendors, a pre-race stretching program, and a performance by the Glenbrook South High School Drum Line.  Medical aid and water will be available on the course.

The 2011 Chase the Bear sponsor is the Glen Town Center.  Mama Bear sponsors are the Glenview State Bank and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.  The Baby Bear sponsor is New Balance of North Shore.

from the website.  Early online application is encouraged and the online fee is discounted.  Special Family rates are available.  Information is also available at the Run
Hotline at 847-657-9977. Race Packets will be available for runner pickup at the Glen Town Center’s Navy Park on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 12 noon till 2PM. Packets can also be picked up at Hoffman School on Race day at 7AM.

The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise Charitable Foundation is an approved 501(c) which uses run proceeds to fund charitable giving programs to the citizens of Glenview and for international humanitarian projects such has Polio eradication, water purification, and literacy programs.  The
