MONEY IN POLITICS: WHY IT MATTERS

How are "black money" and wealthy donors impacting Illinois political campaigns, candidates, and our lives?  What are the expectations? Who benefits and who loses? Illinois has had a lot of experience with this problem, which is why so many business and civic leaders are concerned. Listen to local and national experts who will explain how corrosive pay-to-play politics is to our democracy. This is a nonpartisan issue with a number of suggested solutions.

The League of Women Voters -Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area is partnering with the Washington, DC-based Committee for Economic Development in hosting "Money in Politics: Why It Matters" on Thursday, March 27, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Rd. Lake Forest.
