Last Chance: Donate Your Prom Dress to the Glass Slipper Project

Our new 'Last Chance' feature lets you know about important upcoming deadlines.

If you're in the midst of cleaning out your closets this spring, don't miss the chance to do some good while you're at it.

Through Friday, March 30, the Glass Slipper Project will be collecting gently used formal dresses and accessories at . The 13-year-old nonprofit distributes the dresses at "boutiques" free of charge to high school students around the Chicago area who otherwise couldn't afford to buy the clothes to go to prom. 

To sweeten the deal, donors will receive a $20 gift card to be used at Northbrook Court and will also be entered into a drawing for a makeover and $200 mall gift card. Donations are accepted from noon to 4 p.m. weekdays on the lower level near
