200-Pound Safe Stolen from Imperial Drive Home

Residential Burglary
A resident of the 1600 block of Imperial Dr. reported someone entered their home, ransacked the master bedroom and took a 200-pound safe and other personal items from the residence on May 16 between 9:10 and 10:30 a.m. The loss is several thousand dollars.

Someone stole a wallet off of a golf cart at the driving range of a golf course in the 2900 block of West Lake Ave May 17 between 9:30-9:40 a.m. They contacted their credit card companies and learned someone attempted a cash advance of $123 in Northbrook. The estimated loss is over $300.

A resident of the 1600 block of Glenview Rd. stated between May 17 at 9 p.m. and 9:15 a.m. the next morning, someone spray-painted white rabbits with a stencil on the front door and garbage can, and two rabbits on the brick building. Also defaced were a fence in the 900 block of Raleigh Rd., an IDOT traffic standard and control boxes, and the sidewalk in the 1600 block of Glenview Rd.
Theft
A complainant reported someone stole their daughter’s cellphone while they were at a business in the 1800 block of Tower Dr. May 18. The estimated loss is $300.
Identity Theft
A resident reported receiving a letter from a company in California regarding an account reversal in the amount of $1,922. The resident stated they never had an account with the company and wanted to report the incident to the police. They suffered no loss at this time.
Unwanted Subject
A manger for a business in the 1700 block of Chestnut Ave. reported a terminated employee came to retrieve their tools May 19. The manager told the former employee to wait outside while they retrieved the tools for them. The former employee did not listen and walked into the business and retrieved the tools. The former employee was told they are no longer allowed at the business. No complaints were signed.
Littering
A Glenview Park District employee said someone dumped a twin mattress and box spring at Roosevelt Park. The bedding was removed by park district personnel.
Theft
A resident of the 1000 block of Castilian Ct. reported someone stole a rebate check in the amount of $27.14 from their mailbox and cashed it at the issuing store in Mount Prospect. They are willing to sign complaints.
Disorderly Conduct
A complainant stated a male white, 5'10"-5'11", short sandy brown hair, thin build, wearing only a shirt exited a black Chevrolet 2-door vehicle exposing his genitals as the complainant was jogging north in the 1800 block of Patriot Blvd. at 6 a.m. May 20. A few minutes later the complainant saw the vehicle in the parking lot of the Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. As they ran toward the vehicle to get a plate number the driver fled the parking lot and was last seen going west on Chestnut Ave.
