3 Juveniles Arrested for Stringing Packing Tape Across Road

A stolen credit card was also used to make a $4 purchase.

Disorderly Conduct

A driver reported driving through packaging tape which was strung between two trees across the road in the 1600 block of Monterey Dr. at 4:30 p.m. July 16. Three juveniles were arrested. There was no damage.

A resident reported July 16 that someone stole his locked bicycle, worth $450, in the 1900 block of Prairie Street.

An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue reported July 16 losing a pouch with a credit card. The bank was called to report a lost card and there was an unauthorized purchase for $4 in Des Plaines.

Forgery

A business manager in the 1500 block of Waukegan Road reported July 17 that a customer gave two fraudulent checks for payment of merchandise. The loss is unknown.

Theft

A resident in the 1800 block of Wildberry Drive reported July 17 the theft of Adderall and Clonazepam from a bedside table. The reported loss is $17.

Harassment by Telephone

A resident of the 1600 block of Saratoga Lane reported July 17 receiving harassing telephone calls. The number displayed on the caller ID was called and the respondent was identified and told to stop calling the number.

Battery

The manager of a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported July 17 that his employee was battered by a customer earlier in the day. The employee was not on scene and will make a report on return to work.

Disorderly Conduct

Someone reported a small fire at a park in the 700 block of Huber Lane at 9:30 p.m. July 17. An officer extinguished a burning Gatorade bottle.

Theft

A business manager in the 3400 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported July 17 purchasing Money Pak Green Dot cards after receiving a telephone call stating the electric bill was overdue and power would be shut off. The loss is $2,144.

Criminal Trespass

Two persons refused a request to leave a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue July 18 just past midnight. They left after the police showed up.
