$30K Cash Missing from Harrison St. Home

Theft
A resident of the 2100 block of Harrison St, reported an unknown suspect took a jewelry box containing $30,000 in cash from their home between Dec. 5 and March 3.

A resident of the 3500 block of Mapleleaf Dr. reported seeing a man in their backyard near the back door at 7:30 p.m. on March 4. When the man saw the resident look at him he ran west on Mapleleaf Dr. Officers followed the footwear impressions to two addresses in the 3500 block of Keenan Ln. and to an address in the 3500 block of Lawson Rd. None of the homes were broken into and no suspect was found.

On March 4 at 11 p.m. the following people were cited under village ordinance in the 4100 block of Cove Ln:
- Sarah Hogan, 23, of Glenview, for Possession of Less Than 10 Grams of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Mateusz Bieniewski, 26, of Glenview, for Possession of Less Than 10 Grams of Cannabis
- Matthew Struk, 25, of Glenview, for Possession of Less Than 10 Grams of Cannabis
Theft
A resident in the 2000 block of Avalon Ct. reported March 5 that they ordered an item off of the internet and never received it. Delivery records show the item was delivered to their home. The estimated loss is $900.
A complainant reported March 7 that an acquaintance stole 10 checks from a post office box that belongs to their spouse. The acquaintance forged the spouse’s name on the checks and cashed them. The thefts occurred between July and March 1. The loss is $2,320.
Battery
On March 8 at 5 a.m. officers responded to the 1200 block of Milwaukee Ave for a fight in progress. Officers learned two female adults were mutual combatants and neither wanted to sign complaints.
