4 Burglaries Reported In 1 Day

The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, defendants are innocent until proven guilty.

Residential Burglary


On June 12, a resident on the 1000 block of Hunter Rd. reported someone burglarized their home, according to police.  Entry was apparently made by breaking a first floor window, and several rooms were ransacked, police say.  It is unclear what was taken, according to the report.

Vehicular Burglary
The following burglaries were reported on June 16 and based on Glenview police reports.

  • Someone burglarized a vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of a residence on the 3800 block of Miller Drive. Entry was made breaking the passenger side window. Taken were a purse and its contents. That day, one of the victims credit cards was used at a gas station in Markham, IL. Approximate loss is $1,750.00.
  • Someone burglarized a vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on the 3900 block of Joanne Drive. The doors may have been unlocked. Taken was a tablet computer and sunglasses. Reported loss is $1,070.00.
  • Someone entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on the 3900 block of Joanne Drive. The center console was entered but nothing was taken. 
  • Someone burglarized a vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on the 3800 block of Michael Lane. The vehicle may have been unlocked. Taken were a custom radio and a GPS unit. The incident occurred between 06/15/13 and 06/16/13. Reported loss is $3,000.00.
