4 Cars Burglarized in Glenview on Same Day

There was also a report of a repeat booze thief.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

4 cars burglarized on same day

A resident of the 800 block of Lenox Rd. reported July 9 that someone burglarized two of their vehicles while they were parked in their driveway. Both were unlocked and a cellphone and sunglasses were stolen. The estimated loss is $600.

A resident of the 900 block of Lenox Rd. reported July 9 that someone burglarized their vehicle while it was parked in their driveway overnight. The front passenger side window was shattered and a purse on the passenger seat along with a men's stainless steel watch were stolen. The estimated loss is $2,800.

A resident of the 900 block of Glenview Rd. reported July 9 that someone burglarized their vehicle while it was parked overnight. The vehicle was unlocked and $3 in change was stolen from the glove box. 

A resident of the 800 block of Lenox Rd. reported July 9 that someone burglarized their vehicle while it was parked overnight. The vehicle was unlocked and a GPS unit was stolen. The estimated loss is $200.

Retail Theft

An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Rd. reported over the last few months the same man has come into the store between 6 and 11 p.m. and stolen alcohol. They described him as white, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build, gray hair of ordinary in length and parted to one side. 

Disorderly Conduct

A resident of the 1100 block of Roosevelt Rd reported on July 7 at 9 p.m. and July 10 at 10:30 p.m. a black vehicle with several teens ignited fireworks in front of their residence. 

Theft

A resident of the 2200 block of Golf Rd. reported July 11 that an iPad worth $500 was stolen from their room.

Retail Theft  

An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Rd. reported that on July 11 at 8:30 p.m. a female removed several bottles of liquor from the store and left without paying. She entered a dark silver vehicle driven by a male. The estimated loss is $100.
