$67K Worth of Jewelry Stolen from Brandess Dr. Home

In a separate theft, someone stole a grill and six hanging flower baskets.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft

Someone entered a contractor’s jobsite in the 2300 block of Waterview Dr. and stole a portable generator worth $800 between 3 p.m. May 26 and 9 a.m. the next morning.

A complainant reported their son’s iPad was stolen from his backpack when he set the backpack down on the ground near the Park Center’s gym on May 23 at 4:30 p.m. The estimated loss is $400.

A resident of the 3100 block of Brandess Dr. reported $67,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from their master bedroom closet on May 7. They suspect their cleaning service.

An employee of a business in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Ave. reported someone stole their cellphone after they left it on a table June 2. They reviewed video and saw a female enter the store, go to where the cellphone was, order food and then leave.  After she was in the store the cellphone was gone. The estimated loss is $300.

An employee of business in the 2600 block of Compass Rd. reported that between May 30 and June 2, someone stole a Weber propane gas grill and six hanging flower baskets from the outside fenced in employee break area. The estimated loss is over $500.

Violation Order of Protection

Dong Pill Pak, 34, of the 2700 block of Commons Dr. in Glenview, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. May 30 in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Ave., and charged with Violation of an Order of Protection and Interference with Judicial Procedure. He was held pending transport to bond hearing.

Domestic Battery

Lauren Bauer, 18, of the 16200 block of Bormet Dr. in Tinley Park, was arrested in the 900 block of Buccaneer Dr. and charged with Domestic Battery and Illegal Possession of Alcohol by a Minor at 6 a.m. June 1. She was held pending transport to bond court.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Someone put more than 40 scratch marks on the front fender and bumper of a vehicle in the 900 block of Harms Rd between May 23 and 26. The estimated damage is $1,000.

Identity Theft

A resident received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service stating an unknown individual may have unlawfully used their Social Security number. They will follow up with the IRS.

A resident reported they received notification someone attempted to get a loan using their personal information. The loan was not processed and the resident suffered no loss.

A resident reported their bank called them and told them someone from Ohio attempted to transfer $6,600 from the resident’s account into another. The transaction was denied and the resident suffered no loss.
