7 Car Burglaries Last Week in Glenview

Thousands of dollars worth of items were stolen in last week's car burglaries.

On July 10, a resident on the 700 block of Lincoln St. reported someone burglarized their unlocked car while it was parked in their driveway, according to police. Compartments in the vehicle were ransacked but nothing appeared to be missing, police say. 

On July 10, someone on the 2000 block of Robincrest Lane reported someone burglarized their unlocked car while it was parked in their driveway, according to police. Taken were a laptop computer and a briefcase with its contents, according to police. Estimated loss is $1,100.00.

On July 11, someone reported their unlocked car was being burglarized while it was parked in the driveway of a residence on the 4600 block of Larch Avenue. Taken were several power tools worth about $750.00.

On July 12, a resident on the 3100 block of Knollwood Lane reported someone burglarized their unlocked car while it was parked in their driveway, according to police. Taken were a purse and its contents, police say.

On July 13, someone reported their vehicle was burglarized while it was parked at Community Park West, 1001 Zenith Dr., according to police. Entry was made by breaking the rear driver’s side window, police say. Taken were a purse and its contents, worth about $2,180.00, according to police. 

Two more burglaries occurred that day at Community Park West. A rear passenger side window was broken to remove purse with its contents and jewelry, worth about $10,800.00, according to police. 

Also, a driver’s door window was broken to remove a purse and its contents, according to police. Estimated loss is about $1,100.00.
