Burglar Breaks Into Longvalley Road Home
A resident of the 1700 block of Longvalley Road reported that someone entered the house by force and stole property worth $2,206 sometime before 2:19 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police.
Traffic Dispute Ends in Assault
A Palatine resident told police that a traffic dispute in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue at 5:46 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, resulted in an assault on her by the other driver, according to police. No complaint was signed, however.
Two Arrested For Possession of Cannabis
Amir Laliwala, 21, of the 9200 block of Twin Oaks Lane in Des Plaines, was issued a ticket for possession of cannabis under 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia after police checked a vehicle at Rugen Park, 2941 Harrison St., at 9:36 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, police said. Thaddeus Wezerek, 20, of the 1400 block of Forest Avenue in Wilmette, was also issued the same citations in that incident, according to police.
Customers Leave Hotel Without Paying $2,234 Bill
A manager of a hotel in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue reported that two customers left the hotel without paying their $2,234 bill at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police.
Thousands of Dollars in Cash, Jewelry Stolen
A resident of the 300 block of Elm Street reported that someone stole $4,075 from inside the house sometime before 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to police.
A resident of the 600 block of Windsor Road reported that someone entered the home and stole money and jewelry sometime before 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to police. The total loss was estimated at $3,700.
Thief Steals $550 in Merchandise
A manager of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road in Glenview reported that someone left the store without paying for $549.99 in merchandise at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police.
Company Laptop Stolen On Willow
An employee of a business in the 2300 block of Willow Road reported that someone stole a company laptop worth $950 before 11:23 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police.
Game System Stolen On Knollwood
A resident of the 3100 block of Knollwood reported that someone stole a game system and peripherals worth $750 on Saturday, Oct. 19, according to police.
Disorderly Conduct at Willow Road Business
A manager of a business in the 2100 block of Willow Road reported that two customers caused a disturbance at 11:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, according to police. Police officers advised them to leave the business and said they would face arrest for trespassing if they returned.
Mailbox Knocked Over On Laurel
A resident of the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported that a mailbox worth $50 had been knocked down before 9:48 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to police.
Patio Chairs Stolen On Sheryl
A resident of the 400 block of Sheryl Lane told police that someone stole two patio chairs from the backyard of before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to police. The estimated loss is $5.
