Car Burglaries at Flick Park

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glenview Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft

On July 14, Emad Toma, male, 50, of Glenview, was cited under village ordinance for retail theft, according to police. The incident occurred at a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road, police say.

Residential Burglary Attempt

On July 18, someone on the 2200 block of Timothy Drive reported a burglar alarm at a residence nearby, police say. When officers arrived, they found damage to the home’s rear door and it appeared someone tried to gain access by force, according to police. Estimated loss is $500.00.

Residential Burglary

On July 19, a resident on the 2300 block of Strawberry Lane reported a man with a walkie talkie came to their door and said he just purchased a neighboring house and convinced the resident to come outside to talk about a fence, according to police. After the man left, the homeowner realized someone else had been in their house while they were distracted and about $370.00 of jewelry and cash was reported taken.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

On July 21, someone reported a purse and its contents were taken from the trunk of their vehicle while they were at Flick Park, according to police. Method of entry to the vehicle is not known, police say. Estimated loss is $1,050.00

That day, someone reported two purses and their contents were taken from the trunk of their unlocked vehicle while parked at Flick Park, according to police. Approximate loss is $2,100.00, police say.
