Cash and Diamond Ring Stolen After Car Towed

In a separate incident, an employee pushed a person who ignored no trespassing signs.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft

A resident of Des Plaines reported an unknown person stole a diamond ring and $180 from their vehicle after it was towed because it was involved in a traffic crash on May 1. The estimated loss is $2,180.

A resident of Prospect Heights reported being at a business in the 1800 block of Lehigh Ave. at 7 a.m. May 8. The Prospect Heights resident walked past three No Trespassing signs and was pushed in the chest by an employee of the business. Neither party wanted to sign a complaint.

Police responded to a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Ave. for two females fighting at 1:30 a.m. May 9. One female, who had been drinking, slapped the other female in the face. No complaints were signed.

Theft

A resident in the 600 block of Carriage Hill Dr. reported over $5,000 worth of jewelry in a jewelry box missing from their home between Marcy 31 and April 4. There were no signs of forced entry.

Suspicious Incident

A resident of the 3800 block of Springdale Ave. reported receiving a call from someone claiming they were from Windows and the resident’s computer was infected. The person tried to obtain personal information and the resident ended the conversation.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

A resident in the 1600 block of Winnetka Rd. reported their car was keyed while it was parked in the 1700 block of Sunset Ridge Rd. on May 6 between 6:15 and 8:15 p.m. Damage is estimated at $1000.
