Chicago Woman Faces Criminal Charges After Traffic Accident

The following information was reported by Glenview Police between Oct. 18 and 21, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Failing to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash

Oralia Arroyo-Boyas, 36, of the 2800 block of North Ridgeway Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license, operating an uninsured vehicle and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash following a car crash in the 4100 block of West Lake Avenue Thursday, Oct. 17, according to police.

Driving With a Suspended License

Michael Compell, 52, of the 500 block of Half Moon Court in Oswego, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the 3200 block of West Lake Avenue, police reported.

Driving Without a Valid License

Luis Sanchez-Figueroa, 30, of the 1200 block of Castle Drive in Glenview, was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license and failing to reduce speed at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the 4100 block of Dearlove Road, according to police.

Retail Theft

Rositsa Gevrekova, 27, of the 100 block of Lynnfield Lane in Schaumburg, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 3:21 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the 1900 block of Tower Drive, according to police.

Driving Under the Influence

Scott Norris, 44, of the 8400 block of Trumbull Avenue in Skokie, was arrested and charged with failing to give aid or information, failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and disobeying a stop sign at 4:52 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the 1900 block of Chestnut Avenue, police reported.

Patrick Walton, 30, of the 2600 block of Crabtree Lane in Northbrook, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:47 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in the 1000 block of Shermer Road, according to police. He was also charged with making an improper turn and improper lane usage.
