Citations Issued For Underage Drinking, Cannabis Possesion

The information in this blotter was reported by Glenview Police between Nov. 5-6, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Chicago Man Arrested For Driving With a Suspended License
John Kosik, 36, of the 400 block of West Aldine Ave. in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding in the 900 block of East Lake Ave. at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, according to police.

Northfield Teens Cited For Underage Drinking

Glenview police cited four people from Northfield under a village ordinance for illegal possession of alcohol as a minor at 3:06 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, in the area of Highland Lane and Glenview Road, according to police. Those individuals were Abel Sifuentes, 20, and Cain Sifuentes, 18, of the 0-100 block of North Branch in Northfield; and Yoselin Barrios, 19, and Erika Barrios, 18, of the 415 block of 4th Street in Northfield, police reported. 

Three Cited For Possession of Cannabis
Three people were issued citations for violation of a village ordinance for drug offenses in the 1800 block of Tower Drive on Monday, Nov. 4, according to police. Nicole Schlesak, 27, of the 1700 block of Landcaster in Northbrook, was cited for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Edgar Bahena, 37, of the 0-100 block of South Branch in Northfield, was issued a citation for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis, and Salvador Gonzalez, 32, of the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace in Glenview, was issued a citation for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis. 

Tires Slashed on Harlem, Tires Deflated on Buccaneer
A resident of the 500 block of Harlem Avenue reported that someone slashed two of the driver's side tires on one of their vehicles and one rear driver's side vehicle on a second vehicle they own on Friday, Nov. 1, according to police. The estimated damage is more than $450, police said. 

A resident of the 900 block of Buccaneer Driver reported that someone let the air out of their tires between 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, and 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, while it was parked on the street, according to police. 

Drunk, Shoeless Customer Gets a Ride Home in a Cruiser
An employee of a business in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue told police that a customer appeared intoxicated, was not wearing shoes and was arguing with employees and other customers on Friday, Nov. 1, according to police. The store manager did not want to sign a complaint, but did want the customer to leave, so police transported the individual home.

Suspicious Van Reported on Surrey Lane
A resident of the 900 block of Surrey Lane reported that there was a suspicious white van parked in front of their home for over an hour, with someone sitting in the driver's seat, police said. The resident saw a second person walk from between two homes on the street and get in the van before the van left. Police did not find any suspicious activity in the area, and the resident could not describe the driver or the passenger.
