Customer Lays Unwanted Kiss on Employee's Head

A vehicle was also broken into on Pickwick in this edition of the Glenview police blotter.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Battery

An employee for a business in the 1800 block of Tower Dr. reported April 28 that a customer kissed them on the top of their head while they were kneeling on the floor stocking shelves. The incident was witnessed by another employee. They did not want to pursue a criminal complaint but wanted the customer told not to return to the store

Identity Theft

A resident reported April 28 receiving a collection notice from a satellite TV service provider. Someone opened up an account in the resident’s name in Memphis TN. They suffered no financial loss at this time.

Theft

An employee of a business in the 2100 block of Willow Rd. reported their keys were stolen from their coat pocket, which was hung in an employee break room during their shift on April 26. They do not suspect anyone in particular.

Driving With a Revoked Driver’s License

Anne Grimes, 42, of Glenview, was arrested in the 600 block of Shermer Rd. at 8:30 a.m. April 30 and charged with Driving With a Revoked Driver’s License.  She was released on a $1,500. D-Bond with a court date of May 20.

Battery

An employee of a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Ave. reported that at 9:30 a.m. April 23 a customer was told they needed to leave the room they rented. The customer initially left the room and the employee stood in the doorway to prevent re-entry. The customer bumped the employee with their chest in an attempt to get by at which time the employee called the police. No complaints were signed.

Suspicious Incident

A resident reported on April 23 receiving several suspicious phone calls. During one call a male stated he was with the cable company and wanted to know if they had parental controls set on their cable service. During another call a male claimed the resident was stealing their WIFI signal. The resident does not have cable and has their own secured WIFI service.

Burglary (Motor Vehicle)

A vehicle was burglarized while it was parked on the street overnight April 22 in front of a home in the 1700 block of Pickwick Ave. The estimated loss is over $1,000.
