Des Plaines Man Charged in Hit and Run

The following information was reported by Glenview Police between Oct. 21 and 22, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Hit and Run Car Crash

Myung Kim, 37, of the 100 block of Oakwood Avenue in Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with several offenses following a car crash in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road on Tuesday, Oct. 22, police reported. Kim is charged with providing false information at an accident and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to police.

Burglary Reported On Robincrest

A resident of the 1900 block of Robincrest Lane told police that someone entered the house by force and stole something on Sunday, Oct. 20. The loss was unknown at the time of press.

Driving With Suspended License

Robert Woolson, 53, of the 1500 block of Winnetka Road in Glenview, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after police made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road at 1:23 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to police.

Unlawful Use of Credit Card

On Saturday, Oct. 19, a resident of New York reported unauthorized activity on his credit card after he used it at a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard, according to police. The total loss is reported at $805.

Theft

A Schaumburg resident told police that someone stole her bicycle worth $300 from a business in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road on Sunday, Oct. 20, according to police.

A patron of the downtown train station told police that someone stole a chain and lock from his bike attached to the bike rack, then stole his bicycle on Monday, Oct. 21, according to police. The total loss was estimated at $2,525.

Deceptive Practice

A business owner in the 2000 block of Johns Drive told police that a customer presented a check worth $4,426 for merchandise, but the check was not honored by the bank.
