Floriberto Montoya, 33, of Wilmette, is allegedly responsible for causing the accident, police say. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduced speed to avoid an accident and endangering the life of a child. Montoya was released on a $1000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 10.

Multiple fire trucks and ambulances were at the scene and two people were transported to Glenbrook hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. And, as Patch reported on our Facebook page yesterday just after the incident, Lake Avenue was closed to eastbound traffic briefly allowing tow trucks access to the scene. According to Sgt. Sostak, two vehicles were towed.
