Evanston Man Arrested For Stalking In Glenview

The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not indicate guilt.

Stalking
On Sept. 25, David Towne, 55, of Evanston, was arrested in Evanston and charged with Stalking No Contact First Offense after the investigation of an incident which occurred on the 1400 block of Waukegan Road, according to police.

DUI
On Sept. 25, officers arrested Stephen O’Keefe, 50, of Prospect Heights, on the 1100 block of Lehigh after he was stopped for driving recklessly along Glenview Road, police say. He was charged with DUI-Alcohol, operating an uninsured motor 
vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information after an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper passing, according to the police report.

Before his arrest, O'Keefe struck a light pole, a garbage can and a planter, which was pushed into and damaged another vehicle, police say.

Theft
On Sept. 24, a resident on the 500 block of Elm Street reported someone stole two sections of fencing, according to police. Each section of fencing measures 6ft by 12ft, and the reported loss is $280.00, police say.

On Sept. 25, a resident reported someone stole his daughter’s cell phone and bag of potato chips from Springman Middle School, according to police. The estimated loss is $600.00.
