Fifth Floor Fall Kills Glenview Woman

Officials are still investigating the official cause. Suicide is suspected although an accidental fall or foul play have not been ruled out.

A Glenview woman was found dead in the bushes outside her apartment building this morning, told Patch.

Just after 7 a.m., the received a call from a passerby who found the woman’s unresponsive body just outside 2575 Victor, near Golf and Washington.

“Upon our arrival the lady was deceased,” Globerger said. “She had been there at least a few hours if not longer.”

While suicide is suspected, it is still unclear whether the woman jumped from her fifth floor apartment or if foul play or an accidental fall may be at fault, Globerger said. The Cook County Sheriff’s Department—which oversees areas of unincorporated Glenview—is currently investigating.

According to officials, the woman was in her 50s. No further information is available at this time. Stay tuned to Patch for updates.
