UPDATE: Five More Charges Filed Against Glenview Dispatcher Caught Running Naked on Camera

Delatorre placed in police lineup as more witnesses come forward.

An additional five charges of public indecency have been against Glenview police and fire dispatcher Steven Delatorre, Chicago Police Detective Karen La Palermo told Patch.

Delatorre was originally arrested after the landlord at his apartment complex in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood obtained camera footage of Delatorre running naked through the building.

Management at his 160-unit apartment building at 1134 W. Granville Ave. received several complaints during the last year and a half, but were unable to make a definitive identification until he was recently caught on camera, according to a representative from the building who asked Patch to remain anonymous.

“There have been reports of Delatorre running around naked and terrorizing female residents,” the source said.

The new charges are the result of lineups conducted yesterday by La Palermo and Detective Barbara Healy. The investigation is now complete, La Palermo said.

“He was placed in a lineup,” she said. “As a result of positive identifications five additional charges were made.”

Should Delatorre be convicted of three of the seven counts against him, any future arrests for public indecency would be a felony according to La Palermo. All existing claims are misdemeanors.

Delatorre will next appear in court at 9:00 a.m. March 18 in Branch 29 of the Circuit Court of Cook County, 2542 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago.
