Troublesome Customer Brings Some Flowers

A Glenview business called the police over a man causing a disturbance and bringing flowers to an employee.

The following police reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt. 

Residential Burglary

On Jan. 15, a resident on the 2300 block of Swainwood Dr. reported someone burglarized their home after breaking and entering through a window near the front door, according to police. Several rooms in the house were ransacked, and a laptop computer worth about $400.00 was taken, police say.

On Jan. 17, a resident on the 1300 block of West Branch Rd. reported someone burglarized their home, police say. Entry was apparently made by breaking an exterior bedroom window and several rooms were ransacked, according to police. Several check books were stolen and reported loss is $230.00, police say.

On Jan. 19, someone on the 4400 block of Lilac Ave. reported their refrigerator was stolen, according to police. Method of entry to the home is unknown and reported loss is $1,500.00, police say.

Disorderly Conduct

On Jan. 15, an employee of a business on the 1300 block of Patriot Blvd. reported a man came into the store and made inappropriate comments to the employee, police say. The man left the store for a short time, then returned with two roses he gave to the employee before leaving again, according to police.

Suspicious Person

On Jan. 19, someone on the 1100 block of Golfview Ln. reported seeing a man wearing a dark knit hat and a three-quarter length coat standing in their backyard, according to police. The man left the area prior to police arrival, police say.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

On Jan. 20, someone on the 0-100 block of Mulberry Ln. reported their unlocked car was burglarized while parked in the driveway, police say. A purse and its contents, worth about $755.00, was taken, according to police.

Aggravated Identity Theft

On Jan. 17, Daisy Napier, 29, of Chicago, was arrested on the 1300 block of Patriot Blvd. and charged with Aggravated Identity Theft and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, police say.
