Glenview Blotter: Fake Domestic Dispute, $9K Stolen and More

Glenview PD arrests Feb. 7 - Feb. 12. The following arrest information was supplied by the Glenview Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Disorderly Conduct
On Feb. 7 at 9:34 p.m., the Glenview Police Department received a call regarding a domestic dispute at a residence in the 3400 block of Vantage Ln. Responding officers found the report to be a hoax. Similar incidents have been reported in other towns. 

Suspicious Incident
On Feb. 7 a resident in the 1300 block of Sleepy Hollow Rd. reported seeing three men in a silver car driving slowly down the street. One of the men appeared to be filming houses with a hand held video recorder. The incident occurred on Feb. 7 at 3:15 p.m.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol
On Feb. 8 at 5:47 a.m., a juvenile was cited under Village Ordinance for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Disorderly Conduct. The incident took place in the area of West Lake Ave. and I-294.

Theft
On Feb. 8 a complainant reported someone stole their phone while they were dining at a restaurant in the 1800 block of Tower Dr. The incident occurred on Feb. 7 at approximately 9 p.m. Reported loss is $400.00.

Possession of Cannabis
On Feb. 8 at 9:43 p.m., Sean Russell, 19, of Glenview, IL was cited under Village Ordinance for Possession of Cannabis. The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Cove Ln.

Theft
On Feb. 9 a resident in the 800 block of Lenox Rd. reported someone stole several pieces of jewelry from their residence. The incident occurred between July 2011 and February 2012. Reported loss is $9,000.00.

Suspicious Person
On Feb. 10 a resident in the 2500 block of Harrison St. reported a male came to their door and said he was working on a neighbor’s water line. He said he needed to come into their house to check for problems that may have been caused. The male was denied access. No work was being done in the area. The incident occurred on Feb. 13 at 1:40 p.m. 

Attempt Burglary
On Feb. 12 a complainant reported it appeared someone tried to gain access to a residence in the 1600 block of Joy Ln. A window was broken and the locks on the window frame were damaged. The incident occurred between Feb. 3 and Feb. 10. Reported loss from damage is $300.00.

A criminal charge represents merely an accusation; defendants listed here are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
