Glenview Blotter: Hit and Run Arrest and a Fight in the Park

Hit and Run

On Sept. 25, Boldoo Bazar, 43, of Glenview, was charged with leaving the scene of a traffic crash, driving on a revoked license, failure to yield turning left and no proof of insurance, after the investigation of a crash that occurred on the 1000 block of Milwaukee Ave., according to police.

On Sept. 18, an employee of the Mobile gas station at 9701 Milwaukee Ave. reported a male came into the store and asked for two packs of cigarettes, according to police. When the clerk asked for identification, the male grabbed the cigarettes off the counter and ran out of the store, police say.

Burglary

On Sept. 10, a resident of the 2600 block of Park Ln. reported someone removed a 6-foot aluminum ladder, worth about $200, from their garage, according to police.

Pizza Theft

On Sept. 22, a Pizza Hut employee reported being robbed by two male teenagers of $49.00 worth of pizza while delivering the items to a house on the 3400 block of Carol Ln., according to police. 

Disorderly Conduct

On Sept. 23, an employee of Pita Inn reported phone calls from a female trying to imitate an Indian accent, according to police. The caller swore at the employees and said she was going to blow up the restaurant, police say.

Suspicious People

On Sept. 24, a resident of the 1100 block of Pam Anne Dr. reported a male in his 20s rang her doorbell and, when she answered, apologized saying he was not looking for her and left, according to police. She then saw another person running from her backyard, but police say she could not provide a description of the runner. There were no reported signs of an attempt to enter the house.

Battery

On Sept. 24, someone reported six to seven men beat him with their hands while he was waiting to meet someone Community West Park, according to police. Several independent witnesses confirmed the fight, police say.
