Glenview Firefighters Extinguish Early Morning Blaze

No injuries were reported from the garage fire on Monterey Drive.

Four occupants of 1478 Monterey Dr. were already out of the house when Glenview crews responded to a fully engulfed garage fire around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a fire department press release.

It took fire crews less than an hour to extinguish the flames and this week's winter storm did not inhibit first responders, according to Glenview batallion chief Jim Fancher.

With the help of Northbrook's fire department, first responders extinguished the flames as it was spreading to the house.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported.
