Glenview Firehouse 5K Charity Run this Sunday

Join firefighters and community members on Sunday Sept. 23 at 9:00 a.m. for the first Annual Firehouse 5K Charity Run. Guest participation in the Firehouse 5K Charity Run will help support the charities of the Glenview Fire Department Local 4186.

Runners will travel through a picturesque five kilometer course that winds through beautiful Gallery Park located in the heart of Glenview. The course is a winding path with a mix of paved and crushed limestone surfaces. 

Time:

7:30 am – Registration (near the intersection of Patriot Blvd and Navy Blvd)

08:30 am – Youth Run (approximately 1 mile)

09:00 am – 5K Run

Cost:

$35 for online registration (Includes T-Shirt)

$40 for race day registration

$15 for kids 12 and under

Online registration is now open. Race day registration and packet pick-up will be near the intersection of Patriot Blvd. and Navy Blvd., from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 23. However, race officials ask that you please pre-register to ensure they order enough t-shirts and refreshments.

You can also download a registration to mail in with your payment.

If you want to race as a team, you can enter the team competition that takes the top 3 times for your team and matches it against the other teams top 3 runners. Top time wins first prize and a special reward. If you want to be part of a team, sign up individually and have your designated captain contact David P. All runners will be supplied with a commemorative race t-shirt along with refreshments after the race. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the 5K.

The race will proceed as scheduled rain or shine.
