Glenview Man Arrested For Criminal Trespass

Also featured in this week's police blotter: a hygiene disagreement leads to battery at the Park Center.

The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.

Battery

On Feb. 12, someone reported they were pushed by a man while they ran on the track at the Park Center, according to police. Prior to the battery, the two had a disagreement about hygiene, police say.

Assault

On Feb. 12, Gerardo Tirado, 28, of Wilmette, was arrested on the 1500 block of East Lake Ave. and charged with assault and criminal trespass to property, according to police. He was transported to court on Feb. 13, appeared before a judge and received a $25,000.00 bond, police say.

Burglary

On Feb. 12, someone reported a home was burglarized on the 900 block of Pfingsten Rd., according to police. Entry was made by forcing open the front door, several rooms were ransacked and jewelry was taken, police say. The incident occurred between Feb. 9 and Feb. 12, and the amount lost is unknown, according to police.

On Feb. 18, a construction manager for a building project on the 2800 block of West Lake Ave. reported someone burglarized a trailer that stored construction equipment, according to police. Entry was made by defeating the lock on the trailer’s door and taken were power tools, a gas blower, a welder, and other accessories, police say. Reported loss is about $6,200.00.

Recovered Stolen Property

On Feb. 12, an car stolen out of Morton Grove on Feb. 12 was recovered on the 1300 block of Heatherfield Ln., police say.

Suspicious Person

On Feb. 13, someone reported they were approached by a man who was selling candy outside a business on the 2300 block of Willow Rd., police say. The man then asked if the person wanted to buy marijuana, according to police.

Criminal Trespass to Residence

On Feb. 14, Gregory Gaumond, 46, of Glenview, was arrested on the 2300 block of Henley St. and charged with criminal trespass to residence, police say. Hewas transported to court on 02/15/13, appeared before a judge, and received a $50,000.00 bond, according to police.

Attempted Phone Scam

On Feb. 14, a Glenview resident reported receiving a phone call from a man who tried to convince them a relative had been arrested and they needed to wire $1,800.00 for bond, according to police. It was learned the call was a scam and caller's phone number was assigned to a cell phone in Quebec, Canada, police say.
