Glenview Man Charged With Robbing Cabdriver

The information in this blotter was reported by Glenview Police on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, and Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Robbery, Obstructing a Peace Officer
Paul Drews, 26, of the 1500 block of Huntington Drive in Glenview, was arrested and charged with robbery at his home at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, according to police. Police say Drews took a cab ride from Chicago to the 1500 block of Waukegan Road in Glenview, where he punched the cabdriver, took the cash on the front seat and ran away from the taxi, according to police.

Richard Mortell, 59, of the 1400 block of Hawthorne Lane in Glenview, was also arrested in the same incident at 9:10 a.m. in the 1500 block of Huntington Drive, according to police. He was charged with obstructing a peace officer.

Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault
Moises Lopez Rivera, 43, of the 700 block of Dennis Street in Wheeling, was arrested and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue, according to police. The charges stem from an incident that took place on Jan. 15, police said. 

Battery, Disorderly Conduct
Marcus K. Head, 30, of the 800 block of North Springfield Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery at 11:01 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, in the 1400 block of Patriot Boulevard, according to police.

Dino M. Acquaviva, 40, of the 1400 block of North Park Drive in Mount Prospect, was also arrested in the same incident and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, police reported. 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Victor J. Torres, 26, of the 800 block of Hartrey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting a peace officer, driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 6:31 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, police reported. 

Christina Pepe, 22, of the 900 block of Longmeadow Drive in Glenview was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic signal at 2:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, in the 1800 block of Tower Drive, according to police. 

Domestic Battery, Possession of Cannabis
A 37-year-old Glenview man was arrested and charged with one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and two counts of domestic battery on Sunday, Jan. 26, according to police. 

Warrant Arrest
James C. Foster, 44, of the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Glenview, was arrested on a Skokie Police Department warrant at his home at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, according to police.

Criminal Damage to Property
Bror Lachler-Johnson, 19, of the 700 block of 12th Street in Wilmette, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police. The charges stem from an incident that took place at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 2700 block of Shermer Road, police said. 

Identity Theft
Kathleen Hanus, 50, of the 4800 block of South Leamington Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with identity theft at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, according to police. The loss is estimated at more than $1,000, police said.

Driving Without a Valid License
Eberth Ines, 30, of the 10300 block of Dearlove Road in Glenview, was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license and improper lane usage after she was involved in a traffic accident in the 1300 block of Greenwood Road at 8:49 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, according to police.

Lukasz Brysiewicz, 33, of the 1100 block of Pleasant Run Drive in Wheeling, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in the 4500 block of Willow Road, according to police.
