Glenview Police Crack Down On Railroad Safety

As part of Operation Lifesaver, Glenview police will be creating an "enforcement zone," to monitor pedestrians who cross train tracks illegally.

The Glenview Police Department is participating in Operation Lifesaver, a national campaign aimed locally at increasing pedestrian safety at Glenview's two Metra train stations.

On Wednesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 16, Glenview will be creating an "enforcement zone," in which walkers who cross train tracks illegally will be ticketed, according to the Village of Glenview.

Operation Lifesaver is a national organization commited to ending collisions, deaths and injuries near train tracks.
