Multiple DUI Arrests Made in Glenview Last Week

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Driving Under the Influence of Drugs

Charles Howes, 59, of Chicago, was arrested in the 2500 block of E. Lake Ave. at 8:15 p.m. April 5 and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Possession of less than 10 grams of Cannabis, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding and Improper Lane Usage. He was released on a $1,000 D-Bond with a court date set for May 20.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-Physical Control

Paul Bortnik, 69, of Aurora, was arrested in the 2400 block of Sanders Rd. at 1:30 a.m. April 6 and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-Physical Control. He was released on a $1,000 D-Bond with a court date set for May 20.

Driving Under the Influence

James Conway, 40, of Chicago, was arrested in the 1600 block of Winnetka Rd. at 7:45 p.m. April 6 and charged with Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Improper Lane Usage. He was released on a $1,000 D-Bond with a court date set for May 6.                             

Driving Under the Influence

Eusebio Gonzalez, 39, of Glenview, was arrested in the 1800 block of Waukegan Rd. at 11:30 p.m. April 6 and charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence – BAC .08 or More, No Valid Driver’s License, and Improper Lane Usage. He was held pending transport to bond court.

Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License

Daniel Kita, 24, of Wheeling, was arrested April 1 at 10:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License. He was issued a $1,500 ‘I’ bond and assigned a court date of May 9.

Miguel Del Rio, 23, of Glenview, was arrested in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Ave. April 5 at 6:50 p.m. and charged with Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and Failure to Signal when Required. He was released on a $1,500 D-Bond with a court date set for May 9.

Driving with No Valid Driver’s License

Avelardo Sanchez, 18, of Glenview, was arrested in the 1900 block of Glenview Rd. on April 5 at 10 a.m. and charged with Driving with No Valid Driver’s License, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. He was released on a $2,000 D-Bond with a court date set for May 20.
