NEW DETAILS: Glenbrook Bomb Threat Case Continued

Indictment may be announced at Jan. 4 hearing.

No formal charges were made at a Dec. 27 hearing for , an 18-year-old District 225 student charged Dec. 8 with . Ricco was given a continuance until 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4 at Cook County Criminal Court in Skokie.

"We are still gathering information," said Cook County State's Attorney Spokesperson Tandra Simonton. "The case is still in the preliminary stages," she added, indicating an indictment may be announced Jan. 4.

Ricco, who is charged with felony disorderly conduct for an alleged bomb threat and with a misdemeanor for illegal possession of fireworks, appeared in court with his parents, Denise and Gary Ricco. In addition to the criminal charges, was extended to Jan. 4 as well by Judge Marcia Orr.

"He interfaced with a female on Facebook and he cannot have any contact with that female," said Simonton further explaining the no stalking order.

Ricco made the bomb threat in a Facebook message to a female Glenbrook South student Dec. 8 and was charged later that day after the student's mother reported the communication to Glenview police.

Susan Pavlow, a lawyer handling Ricco's defense at the hearing for his attorney, Steven Weinberg, would not comment. Ricco's parents also declined to comment. 

Ricco remains free on a $250,000 bond with electronic monitoring.
