One Car Stolen, Another Stolen Car Recovered

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glenview Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Car
On Aug. 21, a resident on the 2500 block of Bel Air Drive reported their vehicle was stolen overnight from their driveway, police say. Reported loss is more than $10,000.00.

Stolen Car Recovered
On Aug. 21, a resident on the 2300 block of Covert Road reported a suspicious unoccupied vehicle in the area, according to police. Officers checked the vehicle's registration and confirmed it was a car reported stolen from Chicago, police say.


Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
On Aug. 25, Domingo Composto, 69, of Wilmette, was arrested in the 100 block of Wilmette Avenue after a car accident and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol (third or more DUI), driving with a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to police.  He received a $20,000.00 D-Bond with electronic monitoring with a court date set for Sept. 3, police say.

Vehicular Burglary
On Aug. 22, a resident on the 2200 block of Strawberry Lane reported the 
front passenger door window of their car was smashed while parked on the street in front of their house, and a cell phone charger was stolen, according to police. Reported loss is more than $150.00.

Warrant/Driving with a Suspended License
On Aug. 24, Ellen Bevacqua, 33, of Evanston, was arrested on 
the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road for an outstanding Du Page County Warrant, according to police. She was also charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to properly secure a child under 8, police say. 

Disorderly Conduct
On Aug. 25, Cameron Irwin and Christopher Jenkins, both 19 from Glenview, were cited under village ordinance for disorderly conduct  after throwing eggs at a car on the 1100 block of East Lake Avenue, according to police.

Theft
On Aug. 26, officers received two reports of catalytic converters stolen off cars, according to police. One car was parked in the lot at 1850 Chestnut Ave., the other was parked at 2701 Patriot Blvd., police say. Reported loss in each theft is $600.00.
