Police Blotter: Theft, Domestic Battery

The following incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department, and do not indicate a conviction. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Theft

On Dec. 6 an individual reported that they left a wallet and its contents inside a restaurant in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Ave. After returning to the restaurant, they were unable to find the wallet they had lost. The reported loss was $281.

On Dec. 7, a representative from a business in the 2800 block of Old Willow Rd. reported that an employee who had been terminated refused to return property that belonged to the company. The loss from the item, which was not identified in the report, was said to to be $13,540.

On Dec. 10, a resident in the 300 block of Nordica Ave. said they received a telephone call from a male who identified himself as a family member. The male said he was in an out of state jail, and needed money wired to him for bail. After the money was sent, which was $2,300, it was discovered that the call was a scam.

Driving under the influence

On Dec. 12 at 7:38 pm, police arrested Mallory Blackburn, 24, of Chicago, in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Ave. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and for illegal transportation of alcohol. Her court date is scheduled for January 13, 2012.

 

Domestic battery

On Dec. 13 at 9:25 am, police arrested Tae Gone Park, 41, of the 1700 block of Pickwick Ln., in Glenview, and charged him with with domestic battery. He was transported to court the following day for a bond hearing.

 

No valid driver's license

On Dec. 13 at 1:30 pm, police arrested Oscar Flores, 40, of Glenview, after a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Waukegan Rd. Flores was charged with driving without a valid driver's license and improper lane usage. He has a court date scheduled for Jan. 15, 2012.
