Police Blotter: Controlled Substance, DUIs and Criminal Trespass

Glenview PD arrests July 9 to 13.

Retail Theft
On July 9 at 1:15 p.m., Wanda Zielinski, of Chicago, was arrested in the 6100 block of W. Higgins Avenue and charged with retail theft. The charge is related to an incident that occurred on June 24 in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. She was transported to court on July 10, appeared before a judge, and received a $30,000 D bond. Her court date was set for July 27.

Possession of a Controlled Substance
On July 10 at 1:05 p.m., Kathleen Mechelke, 21 of Skokie, was arrested in the 100 block of Harlem Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and improper lane usage. She was transported to court on July 11 for a bond hearing.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
On July 11 at 2:45 a.m., Yale Kim, 20 of Wheeling, was arrested in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence – BAC .08 or more, improper lane usage, and failure to signal. He was released on a $1,000 D bond. His court date was set for Aug. 16.

Driving While License Suspended
On July 11 at 11 a.m., Kenyanna Ross, 36 of Wheeling, was arrested in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road and charged with driving while license suspended and failed to yield – turning left. She was released on a $1,500 D bond. Her court date was set for Aug. 10.

Criminal Trespass to Vehicle
On July 12 at 1:40 p.m., Jessica Johnson, 20 of Glenview, was arrested in the 1700 block of Wildberry Drive and charged with criminal trespass to vehicle and driving while license suspended. She was released on a $1,500 D bond. Her court date was set for Aug. 27.

Driving While License Suspended
On July 13 at 1:20 a.m., Alejandro Chang, 27 of Highland Park, was arrested in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road and charged with driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $1,500 D bond. His court date was set for Aug. 27.
