Police Blotter: Criminal Damage, Battery, Minors in Possession of Alcohol and More

Glenview PD incident reports Oct. 17 - 25.

Battery
On Oct. 22 at 11:18 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue for a reported battery. An intoxicated male, who had been battered was located but was unable to provide information about who battered him or where the incident occurred.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol
On Oct. 22 at 11:05 p.m., David Proux, 22, of Glenview was cited under village ordinance for hosting an underage party inthe 2700 block of Independence Avenue. Jeffrey Lapelusa, 19, of Glenview; Jacqueling Leibrandt, 18, of Golf and 11 other juveniles were cited under village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol.

Theft
On Oct. 22, a resident in the 1000 block of Raleigh Road reported someone stole Halloween decorations from their yard some time between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and 2 a.m. Oct. 22, reportedly causing a $150 loss.

Criminal Damage to Property
On Oct. 22 at 2:24 p.m., officers responded to a motorist dispute at a business in the 2400 block of Sanders Road. The drivers of two vehicles claimed that the other intentionally struck them. Minor damage was caused to one of the vehicles; the amount of loss is unknown.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol
On Oct. 22 at 1:30 a.m., Victor Puig, 19, of Niles was cited under village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

On Oct. 22 at 12:52 a.m., Preston Smoot, 18, and Sean Russell, 19, of Glenview, both of Glenview, were cited under village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Criminal Defacement
On Oct. 21 at 7:16 p.m., officers located graffiti spray-painted in a stairwell of the parking garage at 2701 Sable Drive at unknown time; estimated damage is $300.

Theft
On Oct. 21 at 3:58 p.m., an employee of a business in the 700 block of Harlem Avenue reported a female came into the business asking for help and after the female left the employee noticed $3 had been taken from a purse.

Criminal Damage
On Oct. 20 a resident in the 1600 block of Magnolia Street reported a screen and window on their home was damaged by some type of projectile, causing an estimated $150 loss. It is unknown when the incident occurred.

Burglary
On Oct. 20, a resident in the 2100 block of Sunset Ridge Road reported two white males came to their residence and used a ruse to gain entry. The two claimed they had made arrangements to work on the home's electrical system. It appears rooms were entered and property was taken while the homeowner was distracted. causing a reported $10,000 loss.

Burglary
On Oct. 20, the owners of a business in the 1700 block of Glenview Road reported someone entered their business by force and stol merchandise between Oct. 19 and Oct. 20. The amount of loss is not known at this time.

Criminal Trespass
On Oct. 20, the owner of business in the 1700 block of Glenview Road reported someone entered the business by force and damaged property inside some time between Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, causing a reported loss of $310.

Battery
On Oct. 19, two people reported being harassed by a group of males while they were at a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road. Words were exchanged and at that time both complainants were battered, according to the reports.

Criminal Damage
On Oct. 19, a teacher at , 1835 Landwehr Road reported the window of a classroom was damaged by unknown means at 7:39 p.m., causing a reported loss of $600.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Oct. 17 at 10:06 p.m., Victor Figueroa, 21, of Glenview was cited under village ordinance for possession of drug parapernalia at the intersection of South Branch and 12th Street.

Assist Other Agency
On Oct. 17 at 9 p.m., the Des Plaines Police Department requested that Glenview officers respond to a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road and attempt to locate an employee of the business. The employee, who was wanted by Des Plaines PD for domestic battery, was located and held until Des Plaines officers arrived on scene.
