Police Blotter: Jewelry Burglary, Stolen Football Tickets, Missing Boat and More
Glenview PD reported incidents Aug. 24-28.
Criminal Defacement
On Aug. 28, officers found one of the at spray painted with various words and symbols. Authorities believe the incident occurred between 6 a.m. and 10:47 p.m. with $200 in damage.
Residential Burglary
On Aug. 28, a resident in the 1900 block of Robincrest Lane reported someone entered the home by forcing open a window between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and 5 p.m. Aug. 28 and took an estimated $50,450 in jewelry.
Criminal Defacement
On Aug. 28, a maintenance worker reported graffiti has been spray painted in several of the stairwells of a parking garage at 2701 Aviator Dr. some time between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28, causing a reported $650 in damage.

Residential Burglary
On Aug. 27, a resident in the 2100 block of Robincrest Lane reported someone entered the home by forcing open a window between 7:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. It is unknown if anything was taken.
Residential Burglary
On Aug. 27, a resident in the 2200 block of Linneman St. reported someone entered the home by forcing open a window between 11 a.m. and 9:40 p.m., taking a reported $5,000 in jewelry.

Residential Burglary
On Aug. 27, officers responded to a residential alarm in the 2100 blcok fo Henley St., where they found someone entered a resident through an unlocked door some time between 6 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. It is unknown if anything was taken.
Criminal Damage to Property
On Aug. 26, a resident reported someone spray painted words and initials on brick pavers and a walking path in the 1800 block of Westleigh Drive, with a reported $100 in damage. It is unknown when the incident occured.
Theft by Deception
On Aug. 26, a complainant reported he agreed to purchase a boat online, using "Google checkout" but after the money was transferred the board was not delivered. A fictious address was used and it appeared the computer link used to transfer the money was fraudulent. The reported loss is $20,400.
Theft
On Aug. 25, a complainant reported the theft of football tickets delivered to an address in the 1900 block of Tower Drive. The reported loss is $1,000.
Burglary
On Aug. 25, a resident in the 700 block of 7th Street reported someone entered a vacant home through an unlocked window, taking window screens and curtain panels between 7 p.m. Aug. 24 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 25. The reported loss is $310.
