Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Burglary, Criminal Damage and More

Glenview PD incident reports Nov. 7 - 13.The following information was supplied by the Glenview Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft
On Nov. 13, an employee of a store in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported two females concealed a shirt in a purse and left the store without paying at about 3:31 p.m. The reported loss is $68.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
On Nov. 13, a resident in the 1300 block of Pendleton Lane reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked in their driveway and stole a GPS unit and change between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13. The reported loss is $220. 

Residential Burglary
On Nov. 13, a resident in the 2700 block of Virginia Lane reported someone forced entry into their home between Nov. 12 and Nov. 13. It is unknown if anything was taken. Reported damage is $100.

Criminal Damage
On Nov. 12, someone reported their vehicle was damaged when a foreign substance was poured into the gas tank while it was parked in the 1600 block of Greenwood Road between 2 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. The reported loss is $150.

Criminal Damage
On Nov. 11, someone reported their vehicle was damaged when a foreign substance was poured into the gas tank while it was parked in the 3000 block of North Lake Terrace between Nov. 8 and Nov. 11. The estimated loss is $200.

Residential Burglary
On Nov. 11, a resident in the 3500 block of Lawrence Lane reported someone broke into their home and stole various jewelry items on between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 11. The estimated loss is $2,095.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
On Nov. 11, a resident in the 800 block of Windsor Drive reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked at their residence and stole a digital camera. A suspicious male was seen near the vehicle on Nov. 10 at about 9 p.m. The reported loss is $300.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
On Nov. 11, someone reported a purse and its contents stolen from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 900 block of Golfview Road on Nov. 10 at about 7:30 p.m. The items were later recovered in the 800 block of Windsor Drive.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
On Nov. 10, a purse and its contents were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Glenayre Drive between 6:15 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 10. The reported loss is $145.

Retail Theft
On Nov. 10, a loss prevention agent for a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported a woman stole two sweaters between 1:55 and 2:55 p.m. The reported loss is $419.

Possession of Marijuana
On Nov. 10, at 11:30 a.m., a juvenile was cited under village ordinance for possession of marijuana in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Nov. 8, Jonathan Martinez, 19, of Northfield was cited under village ordinance for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of West Lake Avenue.

Retail Theft
On Nov. 8, a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a male concealed electronic items in his clothing and left the store without paying on Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. The reported loss is $800.

Residential Burglary
On Nov. 8, a resident in the 800 block of Indian Road reported someone broke into their home and stole jewelry items on Nov. 7 between 7:15 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. THe reported loss is $505.

Harassment by Electronic Communication
On Nov. 7, an employee of a business in the 2400 block of Glenview Road reported receiving harassing emails from a subject not known to them. A coworker also received similar emails.

Retail Theft
On Nov. 7, a loss prevention agent for a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported a male concealed a sweater in a bag and left the store without paying on Nov. 17 around 4:40 p.m. The reported loss is $70.
