Police Blotter: Retail Theft, DUI

Glenview PD arrests March 5-7. The following arrest information was supplied by the Glenview Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

No Valid Driver’s License
On March 5 at 8:15 a.m. Fernando Venegas, 37, of Glenview, was arrested in the 2500 block of East Lake Ave. and charged with no valid driver’s license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and defective brakes. He was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 13.

Retail Theft
On March 5 at 4:25 p.m. Sylvia Martinez, 48, of Oak Lawn, was arrested in the 1900 block of Tower Dr. and charged with retail theft.  She was transported to court on March 6 for a bond hearing.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
On March 7 at 4:18 a.m. Daniel Bumbaris, 21, of Glenview was arrested in the 2400 block of Saranac Ln. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence – BAC .08 or more, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to give information after striking property. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 30.
