Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Warrant Arrest

Retail Theft
On Aug. 22 at 3 p.m., Kevin Stamos, 52, of Chicago, was arrested in the 5900 block of Richmond St., Chicago, and charged with retail theft.  The charge is related to an incident that occurred on Jan. 10 in the 2900 block of Patriot Blvd.  He was transported to court on Aug. 23, appeared before a judge and received a $5,000 bond.

Warrant
On Aug. 23 at 5:59 a.m., Katherine Anderson, 27, of Deerfield, was arrested at the Lake County Jail, 25 S. Martin Luther King Ave., Waukegan, on a Cook County Warrant.  The warrant pertained to an incident (possession of stolen property) that occurred on July 24 in the 2200 block of Willow Rd.  She was transported to court on Aug. 23, appeared before a judge and received a $10,000 bond. 

Retail Theft
On Aug. 23 at 5:30 p.m., Challen Sullivan, 75, Glencoe, was arrested in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Rd. and charged with retail theft. Sullivan was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 20.   

Warrant
On Aug. 23 at 8:47 p.m., Darric Cooper, of Sarasota, Fla., was arrested in the 1900 block of Harlem Ave. on a failure to appear warrant issued for his arrest by Tazewell County in Illinois.  Cooper was released on a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 25 in Tazwell Co.

A criminal charge represents merely an accusation; defendants named above are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
