Identity Theft
Feb. 1

A resident of the 1900 block of Larkdale Drive learned that an offender used her Chase Bank debit card 16 times since 2009 to purchase water from Ice Mountain Water Company.

A resident saw an item burning in , 1031 Kenilworth Avenue. Once at the scene, officers discovered a Molotov cocktail burning on the snow-covered blacktop. There was no damage to property.

Theft of Service
Feb. 3

A taxi driver reported five teenage offenders fled his cab without paying the fare for a ride from Wilmette to Glenayre Drive. Officers located the offenders who later paid their fare. The cab driver decided not to pursue criminal prosecution.

Suicide
Feb. 4

Officers were called to , 1535 Milwaukee Ave., and found a deceased 47-year-old man. Detectives and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the death was a suicide. 

Theft
Feb. 4

A resident of the 1400 block of Hawthorne Lane reported that household items have been stolen from the house on an ongoing basis since Oct. 2010. The resident suspects a contracted employee and investigation is ongoing.

Possession of Cannabis
Feb. 5

Village ordinance citations were issued to Kevin Schultz, 22, of Glenview, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis after officers investigated a suspicious vehicle he occupied in the 1300 block of Bonnie Glen Lane.

Vehicle Burglary
Feb. 5

A resident of the 1900 block of Ammer Ridge Court reported an unknown offender entered her unlocked car overnight and stole $1075 worth of CDs, a massage table and sports equipment.

Identity Theft
Feb. 5

A resident in the 2000 block of Palmgren Drive reported an unknown offender attempted to open credit card accounts using his personal information. No financial loss was reported.

 Possession Cannabis
Feb. 5

Officers issued a Village ordinance citation to Paula Warda, 20, of Morton Grove, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis after a traffic stop in the 600 block of Waukegan Road.

Drunkenness
Feb. 6

Officers responded to a report of a suicidal person at the Metra station, 1116 Depot Street, and found a 42-year-old intoxicated homeless man. He was assisted in obtaining treatment.
