Police Blotter: Theft, Disorderly Conduct, Battery and More

Glenview PD reported incidents Aug. 29 - Sept. 6.

String of Criminal Damages Reported at the Glen
On Sept. 4, three patrons reported scratches to their vehicles with an unknown object, according to reports, while the cars were parked in the 2700 block of Aviator Lane.

In one incident, the hood of a vehicle was reportedly scratched between 5:45 and 7:03 p.m. with $1,000 in estimated damage. In another incident, the hood, driver's door and rear quarter panel of a vehicle was scratched between 6 and 6:30 p.m., with a reported $600 in damage. In the third incident, a patron reported someone scratched the hood of their vehicle, causing a reported $500 in damage.

Theft
On Sept. 4, a resident in the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported four iron chairs and one yellow folding chair stolen from his patio between 11 a.m. Sept. 3 and 2 p.m. Sept. 4, with reported damage of $120.

Burglary
On Sept. 4, a business owner in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported $300 stolen from a cash register between 12:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.

Disorderly Conduct
On Sept. 3, an employee of a business in the 1500 block of Waukegan Road reported someone removed two fire extinguishers from a storage shed and sprayed them in the parking lot.

Burglary
On Sept. 3, a resident in the 1400 block of Ammer Road reported someone entered his open garage and stole a Schwinn bicycle on Sept. 2 some time between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., with an estimated loss of $305.

Theft
On Sept. 2, a woman said her wallet and its contents were stolen from her purse while she dined at a restaurant in the 1800 block of Tower Drive, with a reported loss of $260.

Disturbance
On Sept. 2, a business owner in the 1800 block of Glenview Road reported a male began washing the business' windows without permission and demanded payment.

Burglary
On Sept. 1, an employee of a business in the 1700 block of Chestnut Avenue reported the company's Ford Ranger stolen from their parking lot between Aug. 26 and Aug. 29, with a reported loss of $7,000.

Theft
On Aug. 31, a resident in the 1800 block of Dunhill Circle reported someone stole the rear license plate off her vehicle between 7 p.m. Aug. 30 and 12 p.m. Aug. 31, with a reported loss of $50.

Criminal Damage
On Aug. 31, a man reported the driver's side doors of his vehicle were scratched while the car was parked at some time between 11:40 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Aug. 31, with a reported loss of $500.

Disorderly Conduct
On Aug. 30, a woman in the 1700 block of Linneman Street reported a male looking in her window at 9:30 p.m. and fled the area when he saw her.

Disorderly Conduct
On Aug. 30, a woman reported that while she was stopped at a red light at the interchange of Willow Road and Interstate 294, a male stopped behind her, got out of his car and approached her vehicle. The male reportedly swore at the woman and pounded on her window.

Battery
On Aug. 30, a man reported being battered by a tenant at a rental property he owns in the 2100 block of McArthur Drive.

Harassment by Telephone
On Aug. 29, a resident in the 1600 block of Primrose Lane reported received harassing phone calls from an acquaintance.

Burglary
On Aug. 29, a resident in the first block of Elm Street reported three men came to their residence and stated they wanted to do work in the house. The three men reportedly entered the home without authorization and went into different rooms and when they left, the resident discovered an estimated $4,600 in jewelry stolen.

Theft
On Aug. 29, a resident in the 2500 block of Indian Ridge reported someone took $30,000 in jewelry from her residence between in June and August of this year.
