Police Blotter: Underage Party Busted, Fireworks Set Grass on Fire, $12K in Jewelry Stolen

Glenview PD arrests July 2 to 8.

Theft
On July 2 a resident in the 200 block of Nordica Ave. reported the theft of jewelry and cash from their home. The incident occurred between June 10 and June 22. The reported loss is $12,300.

Theft
On July 2 a complainant reported their skate board was stolen from a business in the 1700 block of Waukegan Rd. The incident occurred on July 2. The reported loss is $235.00.

Criminal Damage
On July 3 a Glenview Park District employee reported damage to the skate park ramp at Community Park West, 1001 Zenith Dr.  The incident occurred between July 2 and July 3. The reported loss is $350.00.

Criminal Damage
On Juy 4 at 10:22 p.m., a complainant reported they saw people setting off fireworks near the 1600 block of Patriot Boulevard. The fireworks started a fire damaging grass. A box of fireworks was found at the scene. Cost of the damage is unknown.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol
On July 5 at 2:58 a.m., Andrea Puig, 18 of Skokie, was cited under Village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. 

Illegal Dumping
On July 5 a business owner in the 1800 block of Glenview Road reported someone dumped garbage into their dumpster. The incident occurred on July 5.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol
On July 6 at 11:58 p.m., Walla Govalla, 19 of Mt. Prospect, and Vicken Sazian, 18 of Mt. Prospect, were cited under Village Ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol. The incident occurred in the 2300 block of East Lake Avenue.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol
On July 7 at 0135 hours, William Gibson, 18 of Northfield; Rodrigo Veracierto, 18 of Wilmette; Robert Lockett, 18 of Wilmette; Jordan Meisles, 18 of Northfield; Oliver Heber, 18 of Wilmette; and three juveniles were cited under Village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol. Gibson was also cited under Village Ordinance for hosting an underage party. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Glenview Road.

Theft
On July 7 a resident in the 600 block of Fairway Drive reported that someone stole cash from their residence. The incident occurred on July 7. Reported loss is $400.

Minors in Possession of Alcohol
On July 7 at 11:15 p.m., Shan Virani, 19 of  Grayson, Georgia; Nidan Rahim, 19 of Glenview; and Saif Ali, 18 of Glenview, were cited under Village Ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Commons Drive.

Battery
On July 8 an employee of a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported they were battered by a customer who was denied entry to the business.
