Police Make DUI Arrest on Patriot

There were also multiple reports of identity theft via tax returns in this edition of the Glenview police blotter.

Driving Under the Influence

Rajesh Shanmugam, 27, of Toledo, OH, was arrested in the 2300 block of Patriot Blvd. just before midnight April 8 and charged with Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence – BAC .08 or More, and Improper Lane Usage. He was released on bond.

No Valid Driver’s License

Adrian Batalla, 33, of Chicago, was arrested in the 2500 block of East Lake Ave. on April 8 at 9:15 and charged with No Valid Driver’s License, No Rear Registration Plate Light, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He was released on bond.

A resident reported April 2 that their accountant called her and said they received a response from the Internal Revenue Service that a tax return has already been filed for their social security number. No other suspicious activity has been linked to her identity.

A resident reported April 7 that someone filed a tax return using their information. They checked their credit history and no other activity was located.

A resident reported April 5 receiving a collection call for an outstanding cable bill in the amount of $1,059. The services were being provided to an address in Chicago. The resident did not authorize this account and does not know who lives at the Chicago address.
