The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.
Burglaries on Commons Dr.
On Jan. 7, someone reported their home on the 2700 block of Commons Dr. had been burglarized, according to police. Entry was made by forcing open the front door, the master bedroom was ransacked and jewelry worth about $6,000.00 was taken, police say.
That day, two other resident on the 2700 block of Commons Dr. found pry marks on their homes' front door, according to police.
On Jan. 7, a Glenview resident reported a man was banging on the doors at the resident's home on the 1700 block of Dewes St., police say. The homeowner did not know why the person was there, according to police.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
On Jan. 9, someone reported their car was burglarized while parked on the 700 block of Harms Rd., police say. Entry was made by smashing the front passenger window and a backpack, mp3 player and clothing was taken, police say. Reported loss is about $875.00.
On Jan. 12, authorities arrested Louis Pissios, 22, of Glenview and charged him with Domestic Battery, police say.
Suspicious Silver Vehicle
On Jan. 13, someone on the 4600 block of Linden Ave. reported a male and a female came up to their house and asked about buying the homeowner’s car, according to police. The two were seen leaving the area in a silver vehicle, police say.
Later day, someone reported a suspicious vehicle in the Northfield Woods subdivision, police say. Two females and a male were found driving a silver Nissan and told officers they were in the area putting fliers on used vehicles in an attempt to purchase one, according to police.
